One of the highlights of the year was having Zeljko Kalac visit the Wide Bay region. Former Socceroos goalkeeper and one of the country’s top goalkeeping coaches, Spider as he is known conducted a 2 day clinic for Academy keepers from both Bundaberg and Fraser Coast squads. To have someone of Spider’s calibre visit our program was immensely exciting as we all went away from the experience having learnt something from an icon of the game. Zeljko was very impressed with the standard of our goalkeepers and he is keen to conduct some more sessions with us in the future.
